Description

If you need to stabilise or increase humidity in a terrarium, natural reptile moss provides a simple way to add moisture and a natural look. This moss is collected from forest areas, then screened and naturally dried to produce clean, soft material that helps maintain humidity for snakes, tortoises, geckos, lizards and other reptiles and amphibians while improving the overall appearance of the enclosure.

In practical use the moss can be lightly misted or briefly soaked and gently squeezed before placement to create a humid microhabitat. Use it inside a hide, around live plants or as a top dressing to help retain local humidity where animals shelter or shed. The product contains no added dyes so the colour remains natural and occasional brown pieces are normal; in its dry state it can also offer extra insulation during cooler periods.

Key Features

  • Natural forest-harvested moss – retains moisture to support stable humidity in humid setups and hides
  • Screened and naturally dried – clean, soft texture with minimal impurities for easy handling
  • No added dyes – natural colour retained; occasional brown fragments are normal
  • Versatile use – suitable for humid hides, plant substrates and as a moisture-retaining medium for roots
